With our year round sunny weather, Mooloolaba is a wonderful part of Australia for a spring or summer holiday. So if you are heading to the Sunshine Coast over the next couple of months, here are some of Mooloolaba’s upcoming events, which might be of interest to you and your family.

September 26th to 28th - Outrigger Championships at Lake Kawana

Beautiful Lake Kawana is the location for the 2015 Trans-Tasman Series and Gubbi Gubbi Championships. This popular Mooloolaba event has large grassed areas, plenty of shade and easy viewing of all the action on the Lake – a lovely spot for a picnic with the family.

October 10th to 11th - Sunshine Coast Cycle Festival

There are three cycle races in this Mooloolaba event and two of them either start or finish at Cotton Tree Park, just 5 minutes away from Seamark on First. So if you love anything to do with cycling, then mark this event in your calendar.

October 24th - Swim Queensland at Mooloolaba Beach

The World Series Swims is set to be launched on Saturday October 24th at Mooloolaba beach. With a marathon 3.8km ocean swim, a 2.0km swim, a short 1.0km swim and junior swims as well, there is something for everyone here in October.

December 27th to January 1st - Woodford Folk Festival

This annual folk music festival is always a hit and is one of the biggest cultural events in Australia. So if you enjoy blues, folk or soul music then head to the Sunshine Coast this New Year for a spectacular and heart-warming event.

January 22nd to 24th - Annual Ginger Flower and Food Festival

This free annual event is always popular and with celebrity chefs and famous gardeners, plenty of tasty food, beautiful floral displays and live entertainment, you can see why everyone flocks here in late January.

March 6th 2016 - Mooloolaba Mile Ocean Swim

This Mooloolaba event is one of the most popular events on the Sunshine Coast and attracts swimmers from all across Australia. This is not only an elite swimming event, but also attracts novice ocean swimmers as well. A great day out for all the family.

March 11th to 13 2016 - Mooloolaba Triathlon 

This Olympic distance triathlon is not to be missed and pulls in both international and Australian athletes every year. With a range of different races for adults, kids and special needs athletes, there is something for everyone at the Mooloolaba Triathlon.
